My name is
Hunter Kerhart.

I am an architectural photographer based in Los Angeles, CA.

I was born and raised in Southern California. I began my career in the film industry just after graduating high school. At the age of 19, I was one of the youngest Camera Assistants in the industry.

After a few years of working on motion pictures, I stumbled upon an archive of historic Los Angeles images and instantly became obsessed with rediscovering – then later recreating – these iconic shots of what felt like a different world. It was at that point that I established Hunter Kerhart Architectural Photography with the goal of creating beautiful and timeless images of the built world.

As an Art Deco and Mid Century Modern enthusiast, it’s invigorating to capture decades of ornate buildings being repurposed in the midst of sleek, modern high-rises and skyscrapers throughout the city. When I’m not working for my clients, I work on my side projects of exploring historic buildings (particularly theaters) and also documenting the ongoing construction and development in Downtown LA.

In my free time I enjoy traveling with my wife, Katie, watching movies, listening to old jazz records, and searching for the best black and white milkshake in LA.
